The Harbor Tour
Seattle is very much a port town. The harbor is huge, and Puget
Sound is like an extension of the harbor, dotted with islands,
and protected from the waves of the ocean. There are suburbs out
on the islands, and across the sound. People actually commute to
work by boat, and there are a number of ferries, and water
taxis. A very popular attraction is a series of tour boats,
including the Argosy. There are a number of different tours
available, some lasting for hours, and taking the visitor all
over the sound. The tour show here is just the basic harbor
tour, lasting an hour or so. |
