Seattle by Bus
and Foot
Seattle has a huge and dynamic downtown area; but this is only
one of a number of hot spots in the city. There is the Seattle
center, and the surrounding Queen Anne Place area, there is the
waterfront, Pike Place market, and Pioneer Square, and then the
university area. The original Skid Row, which lent it's name to
every run down area of every city, was here in Seattle. A Gray
Line tour is not a bad way for the newcomer to wander the
streets of the city. The Gray line is a sort of a cross between
a tour bus, and a regular city bus. The passenger buys a ticket,
which is a sort of an all day pass to any of the Gray Line
busses. These have regular routes, and make regular stops at
many of the more interesting (to tourists) places. |
