Heading South
The Southern edge of Yellowstone Park stands only a few miles from the northern boundry of Grand Teton National Park via the Rockefeller highway. We didn't venture down to the Tetons that year, which is a shame; but we did get within sight of them. Teh southern portion of hte park is all wodlands, mountains, waterfalls, and streams. It is quite a contrast to the arid northern areas, or the unearthly geyser basins of the center. It is also subtly different from the areas around the lake.
