The King's palace section of the caverns
had, at one time, been the most popular part of the open section of the caves.
This is universally held to be the most intricate, and spectacular portion
of the the whole system. Sadly, the temptation was just too much, and many
visitors were caught breaking bits of the formations off, to take home. Access
is now by guided tour only. |
